Lung cancer occurs when cancer cells develop in your lungs and can spread rapidly throughout your body. Although family history and contact with harmful elements, such as asbestos, can contribute, people who smoke 10 to 20 times tend to develop and die of lung cancer.
When you have lung cancer, eating a balanced and healthy diet can protect you from complications, increase physical strength, and increase the chances for a full recovery. Eating well when dealing with cancer can also encourage satisfaction. You can get the information about nutrition for cancer patients by clicking at:

Vegetables and fruits
Vegetables and fruits contain lots of antioxidants that are abundant from all food groups. They help in the fight against damage caused by free radicals that lead to chronic conditions such as cancer. They even boost your immune system, so you are better able to defend against infections that can interfere with the recovery of lung cancer.
Berry such as strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries are powerful sources of antioxidants. However, other fruits, such as oranges, grapefruit and kiwi, and vegetables such as spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, and paprika are usually full of antioxidants.
Whole grain products
Grain products are rich in fiber and contain B vitamins which can help reduce the symptoms of lung cancer. Whole-grain foods include oat bran, oatmeal, cereals, millet, brown rice, and quinoa.
Avoid processed grains, because this has lost nutritional value. Processed grains include white bread, white rice, pasta, and flour.
